These type of elevators lift the elevator housing with an electricity-driven pump which affects the cabin directly or indirectly. The downwards movement is driven with the elevator’s own weight.
The engine room is generally in the first level.  There is a lubricant tank with a hydraulic engine above it, a control panel and a hose pipe for the hydraulic liquid.
The elevator well includes counter-weight, cylinder piston system, hanger mechanism and buffers.

Hydraulic elevators are generally used in homes, villas and houses, buildings under construction, factories and shopping malls where the building static is level and no additional load is tolerated (such as restoration of historical buildings)
The elevators should be put through maintenance monthly, every 6 months or every year, as per the signed contract.
